Another photo from the Sunday Street Photography Workshop in Harlem yesterday! In general when we do street photography the point is for the subject to be unaware. It is without permission so to speak. Typically when someone discovers that they’ve just had their photo taken they are happy. My response is always to smile. In a workshop we do discuss when not to photograph people and situations that are maybe not going to be very welcoming. And on occasion when shooting I will stop someone and ask if we can take more photos of them. That was the case with this very charming man. He was very happy to pose for us! The next Sunday Street Photography Workshop in Harlem will be on 12 March and this workshop often sells out. So don’t wait if you are planning on taking it!
